4.1 Analog output option (9180-V1XX)

4.1.1 Introduction

Using an additional card (option), which is installed into the base plate using a connector, the
instruments can be equipped with two output ranges (0 - 10 V or 4 - 20 mA). The outputs are
isolated with respect to the input signal.

The option has an output connector [ANA (+) and ANA (-)], which supplies a signal of 0 to 10 V
or 4 mA to 20 mA proportional to the display value.

The two signal types cannot be used simultaneously. The selection is performed per menu so
that as soon as the card has been installed it is automatically released.

The most important values for the output signal range (OUT-HI and OUT-LO) are also entered
using the keyboard. The analog output follows the changes in the display between maximum and
minimum values programmed.

Display HOLD also stops the analog output.

The output signal can also be varied inversely proportional to the display if the lowest value of
the display range is allocated to the maximum value of the analog (OUT-HI) and the maximum
value of the display range to the lowest value of the output (OUT-LO).
