SLIDE CONTROL
1.
Press the control lever firmly down to the bottom of its travel and listen for the spark
generator clicking which should light the pilot.
2.
Continue to hold down for a further 10 seconds.
3.
If the pilot fails to stay alight, slide the control lever to the top of its travel (off) & wait
for 3 minutes & repeat the process.
4.
Once the pilot is alight, lift the control lever to the desired position.
5.
To turn the fire off lift the control lever to the top of its travel.
6.
The off position on the side of the fire may not correspond exactly with the control
lever. This is only intended as an indication.

Battery Replacement
Behind the ash pan cover, located towards the centre of the burner is the spark
generator which is fitted with the battery facing you. Flick out the battery from the right
hand end of the battery holder and remove battery. Replace with a good quality 1.5v AA
battery ensuring the polarity markings on the battery correspond with the markings on
the battery holder. Check the spark generator clicks when the control linkage is depressed
downwards.
