Chapter 1. Introduction

1-1 Overview

The NovaScale R423 is a high-end server that is comprised of two main subsys-

tems: a 2U server chassis and the NovaScale R423 serverboard dual Intel® Xeon®

processor serverboard. Please refer to our web site for information on operating sys-

tems that have been certifi ed for use with the NovaScale R423 (www.bull.com).

In addition to the serverboard and chassis, various hardware components have

been included with the NovaScale R423, as listed below:
