Piping Connections after installing the Insulation Jacket

Consider the buffer tank volume when sizing the ther-
mal expansion tank for heating circuits.
V
Install piping connections directly to the tank connec-
tions using isolation valves to ensure easy service and
maintenance.
V
Connect tank piping in such a manner that internal
recirculation is not possible.
V
Install piping connections without undue stress.
V
Install furnished tank fittings to their proper connec-
tions.
V
Check all connections for leaks.
V
Install proper safety relief valve and thermal expansion
vessel to the buffer water tank to ensure safe operation.

The VS1 connection is marked red and the
RS1 is marked blue. The connection for the
cold water inlet is inside the insulation jacket.
Look for the notches in the insulation when
installing the piping.
