After measurement the following information is displayed in the infobox:
gain:
Linear factor of the energy channel calibration (here 1.0576)
offset:
Absolute term of the energy channel calibration (here -1.6974 channels)
int.corr:
Change of the intensity correction during measurement relative to the first reference
measurement (here 0.9097). The values should be close to 1 (gain, int.corr) and 0 (offset).
res (MnK
, AgK
):
Energy resolution for the given elements.
The value for Mn K
is shown because Mn is used as standard. The value for Ag K
is the
directly measured contribution of the detector and of the electronic noise to the energy
resolution.
5.4.2 Measuring Pure Element Spectra
Pure element spectra are the references for the deconvolution of measured intensities. In order to
get reliable quantitative results, very good counting statistics is needed for these reference
measurements. Therefore, the preset measurement time for recording one pure element spectrum
is set to 300 s.
