Position the windshield on the windshield sup-
ports then push it down until the pins are fully in-
serted into the gro
mm ets.

WARNING

well secured i n place.
I n spectio n
Check guard m ounting bosses, clips and retainers
for wear.
WIRING HARNE SS

WARNING
E n sure all ter m i n als are properly cri m ped o n
the wires a n d that all co nn ector housi n gs are
properly faste n ed. Keep wires away fro m
a n y rotati n g, m ovi n g, heati n g a n d vibrati n g
parts. Use proper faste n i n g devices as re-
quired.
CABLE S

WARNING
Before i n stallatio n , e n sure that all cables are
i n perfect co n ditio n . Properly i n stall the cable
e n ds a n d secure the m i n place. Pay atte n tio n
to route the m properly, away fro m a n y rotat-
i n g, m ovi n g, heati n g or vibrati n g parts.
TUBING

WARNING
Always e n sure that the fuel, ve n t, pri m er, i m -
pulse, i n jectio n oil a n d rotary valve oil li n es
are properly fixed to their co nn ectors, that
they are n ot perforated or ki n ked a n d that
they are properly routed away fro m a n y rotat-
i n g, m ovi n g, heati n g or vibrati n g parts. Also
check for leaks. Replace if required.
NOTE: Refer to proper Parts Catalog to find suit-
able clip part nu m bers.
PLASTIC MAINTENANCE
AND REPAIR
MAINTENANCE
Clean the vehicle thoroughly, re m oving all dirt and
grease accu m ulation.
T o clean use a soft clean cloth and either soapy
water or isopropyl alcohol.
T o re m ove grease, oil or glue use isopropyl alco-
hol.
CAUTION: Do n ot apply isopropyl alcohol or
aceto n e directly o n decals.
CAUTION: The followi n g products m ust n ot be
used to clea n or wax a n y of the plastic co m po-
n e n ts used o n the vehicles:
– gasoline
– brake fluid
– kerosene
– diesel fuel
– lighter fluid
– varsol
– naphtha
– acetone
