Save main memory
When switched on, or if the ”RESET” button has been depressed, the in-
verter first copies all data contained in the FEPROM to the RAM and uses the
RAM data for operation only. Changing parameters will initially affect the
RAM data only. In order to give a lasting effect to parameter changes, you
therefore have to execute the ”Save main memory” command before switch-
ing off or a RESET. By issuing this command, the drive will copy the data from
the RAM to the FEPROM.
.
The ”Save main memory” command is no alternative for a backup!
For example, parameters that have been set and optimized during ini-
tial commissioning can be used for another drive only (series commis-
sioning), if a backup was made (refer to section 5.3 on page 5–10).
CAUTION
”Save main memory” cannot be reversed!
All data contained in the FEPROM will be replaced with the current
data.
If you are not sure whether you still need the old FEPROM data,
please contact your systems administrator before executing this
command.
CAUTION
Current operating mode will also be saved!
Exit the active setpoint box, if any, or the setpoint generator before
triggering ”Save main memory”. Otherwise, the setpoint inputs by
the PROFIBUS will not take effect!
