Network selection
Principle
When using older SIM cards, it may be neces‐
sary to enable roaming.
Roaming makes it possible to access other tele‐
phone networks when abroad.
Automatic or manual network selection
If automatic network selection is chosen, the
handset automatically accesses an available net‐
work.
If manual network selection is selected, an availa‐
ble network can be selected. When the handset
has dialed into another network, a triangle ap‐
pears on the Control Display.

Authorization and safety
Activate/deactivate PIN prompt
Do not disable the PIN prompt, or the SIM card
will not be protected against unauthorized use.

3. "PIN query"
4. "Ok"
5. "Activate" or "Deactivate"
6. "Ok"
7. If necessary, enter the PIN and confirm with
"Ok".
Changing the PIN
If the PIN prompt is enabled:
1. "Security"
2. "Ok"
3. "Change PIN"
4. "Ok"
5. Enter the current PIN and confirm with "Ok".
6. Enter the new PIN twice, and confirm each
entry with "Ok".
Reset SIM card block
If the PIN is entered incorrectly three times, the
SIM card is disabled.
"Please enter PUK:" appears on the Control Dis‐
play.
PIN Unblocking Key Personal Unlocking Key or
Super-PIN required; these can only be entered
on the handset.
After entering the Personal Unlocking Key, as‐
sign a new PIN.
Barring calls
General information
These functions are protected with a password
against unauthorized use.
