Deleting the headphones

Selecting a rear side
A pair of headphones can be connected to the
left or right side of the rear-seat entertainment
system. The rear side is selected on the head‐
phones, see the headphones operating instruc‐
tions.
Volume limit for headphones
A volume limit can be activated via iDrive in the
front for the headphones in the rear.

Theater mode and
Individual Entertainment
General information
A selected entertainment source can be played
back in the rear via:
▷ Individual Entertainment.
▷ Theater mode.
Individual Entertainment
Regardless of the active entertainment source in
front, a separate entertainment source can be
played in the rear.
When Individual Entertainment has been se‐
lected, the sound of the selected entertainment
source is output via headphones.
Theater mode
The Theater mode describes the playback of a
selected entertainment source in the vehicle:
▷ The selected entertainment source is played
in the front and rear.
▷ The sound of a selected entertainment
source is output through the vehicle loud‐
speakers only.
▷ The Theater mode can be activated in front
and rear when the rear operation is enabled.
▷ When the Theater mode is starting, the ad‐
justed volume in front will be adopted.
▷ The volume can be adjusted in front and, with
enabled rear operation, in the rear.
Sharing the entertainment
source
General information
The active entertainment source in front can be
shared with the screens in the rear.
The active entertainment source in the rear can
be shared with the screen in front or with the
other screen in the rear. With limited rear opera‐
tion, the active entertainment source in the rear
can only be shared with the other rear screen.
After an entertainment source has been shared,
the entertainment source can be controlled sep‐
arately in the front or rear via the operating
points.
