Inserting the handset
Insert the handset into the holder, arrow 1, and
press down, arrow 2, until it engages.
Operating via a SIM card
Principle
The snap-in adapter directly accesses the SIM
card in the mobile phone.
Inserting the SIM card
1. Press the button, arrow 1.
2. Pull the snap-in adapter up and forward, ar‐
row 2.
3. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot on
the side on the snap-in adapter until it en‐
gages.
4. Insert the snap-in adapter into the holder and
push up until it engages.
Removing the SIM card
Push the SIM card briefly into the SIM card slot
to remove the SIM card from the snap-in
adapter.
Operating via SIM Access Profile
SAP
Principle
The snap-in adapter uses Bluetooth® to access
the SIM card in the mobile phone via its SIM Ac‐
cess Profile SAP. The handset that is connected
to the snap-in adapter can be used instead of the
mobile phone.
Calls and the connection to the external antenna
pass through the snap-in adapter. The radiation
generated during transmission is discharged
from the vehicle interior.
If a connected mobile phone supports the down‐
load of stored phone book entries, the internal
phone book is displayed on the handset and the
Control Display.
