Test Patterns in Teranex AV
In addition to the video test patterns shown above, the Teranex AV includes a menu for pattern
motion and an integrated audio test tone menu.

Test Patterns
Select ‘test patterns’ to choose the desired video test signal.

Audio
The ‘audio’ menu will be grayed out until a video test signal is selected. Select the
desired audio frequency using the rotary knob. The tone will be applied to all output
audio channels, temporarily overriding any pre-existing audio output mapping.
The original audio output mapping will be restored when the video test pattern or the
‘audio’ menu is turned off.

Motion
The ‘motion’ menu will also be grayed out until a video test pattern is selected. Turn
on the ‘motion’ menu to activate the ‘horizontal’ control button and adjust the rate of
motion, as described below. When the ‘motion’ menu is turned off, the test pattern will
return to its static, full frame position.

Horizontal: Turn the rotary knob clockwise for left-to-right motion, counterclockwise
for right-to-left motion. Three speeds are available in each direction, with a range of
-3 to +3. Press the rotary knob to reset the default speed of 0, which will stop the test
pattern at the current screen location.
Your Teranex AV will remember the settings in the ‘audio’ and ‘motion’ menus when the
test pattern is turned off. This allows you to choose your audio tones and/or motion
speed and direction in advance, as these settings will be used whenever you turn on
your video test pattern. You can also save a test pattern configuration in one of the six
system presets for fast and easy recall when needed.
