14.11 Reference Position
The reference position setting determines the physical point that the oscilloscope uses during vertical and horizontal scale
changes. In some situations, it is more convenient to use a fixed position on the display.
1. Press the
Utility
key on the front panel and then press the
Reference Pos.
softkey to enter the Reference POS
menu.
2. Press the
Vertical
softkey to select
Fixed Offset
or
Fixed Position
.
•
Fixed Position
: when the vertical gain is changed, the oscilloscope will keep the vertical offset level indicator
stationary.
•
Fixed offset
: when the vertical gain is changed, the oscilloscope will have the vertical offset level indicator move
with the actual voltage level.
3. Press the
Horizontal
softkey to select
Fixed Delay
or
Fixed Position
.
•
Fixed Position
: when the timebase is changed, the oscilloscope will keep the horizontal offset indicator stationary.
•
Fixed Delay
: when the timebase is changed, the oscilloscope will have the horizontal offset indicator move with
the trigger point.
14.12 Power On Line
To set the power on line:
1. Press the
Utility
key on the front panel.
2. Press the
Power On Line
softkey to select
Enable
or
Disable
.
•
Enable
: when the oscilloscope is energized, the oscilloscope will start automatically by itself.
•
Disable
: when the oscilloscope is energized; then; press the power key at the lower-left corner of the front panel
to start the oscilloscope.
