WRITING TEXT
You can enter text using traditional or predictive
text input. You can also choose between small
and capital letters and switch between letters and
numbers.

Character case
The hash key
§
is used to switch between small
and capital letters as well as between letters and
numbers. Press the key until the desired charac-
ter case symbol is dislayed:
Capital letters.
Select to write words with capital first
letter.
Small letters.
Writing in numerical mode.
Pressing and holding the hash key can also be
used to switch languages while writing with pre-
dictive text input. See

With traditional text input, press the alphanumer-
ic keys
0
...
9
repeatedly until the desired
character is displayed. Note that from each key,
you can get more characters than are visible in
the key label. The available characters depend on
the language you have selected. See
Predictive text input
With predictive text input, you need to press a
key only once to get the desired letter. A single
word takes place only after you have entered the
whole word or sufficient amount of letters.
Predictive input is based on built-in dictionary to
which you can also add own words. To use predic-
tive input, first select the phone language in
Set-
tings
and then choose
Predictive input
on

You can turn predictive input on and off also by
pressing

while writing.
To turn predictive input off, go to phone settings
and choose
