Protocol
Specifies the protocol the rule applies to:

– The rule applies to all protocols.

TCP
– The rule applies to TCP protocol.

UDP
– The rule applies to UDP protocol.

– The rule applies to ESP protocol.

ICMP/ICMPv6
– The rule applies to ICMP protocol. In

there is the ICMPv6 option.
Target Port(s)
The target port numbers. Enter the initial and final port numbers
separated by the hyphen mark. One static port is allowed as well.
Action
Specifies the rule – the type of action the router performs:
•
allow
– The router allows the packets to enter the network.
•
deny
– The router denies the packets from entering the net-
work.

When you enable the
Enable filtering of locally destined packets
function, the router drops
the packets requesting an unsupported service. The packet is dropped automatically without
any information.
As a protection against DoS attacks, the
Enable protection against DoS attacks
limits the
number of allowed connections per second to five. The DoS attack floods the target system
with meaningless requirements.
