7.1 Periodic Maintenance
Reliable and robust system performance is dependent on maintaining and servicing the NOxBOX
i
system in accordance with the advice and training provided with this unit. Table 7-1 lists periodic
maintenance tasks for the NOxBOX
i
system.

Periodic Maintenance Tasks

Task(s)
During Use
Check the NO supply cylinder pressure gauge daily. Cylinders with
lower than 20 bar pressure must be replaced.
Perform a zero calibration of the sensor (the system will prompt you to
do this once every 24 hours).
Drain the water trap when the Water Trap Full alarm sounds.
Between Patients
Dispose of single-patient use items.
Replenish the system kitting for any single-patient use items.
Replace and report any damaged or missing accessory and
connection items.
Perform a full-scale sensor calibration (This must be performed by
trained personnel).
Drain water trap and clean with Bedfont approved wipes.
Clean unit with Bedfont approved wipes.
Every 30 days
Perform a full-scale sensor calibration (This must be performed by
trained personnel).
Perform a Pump calibration. (This must be performed by trained
personnel).
Perform a Vent calibration. (This must be performed by trained
personnel).
Every 12 months
Perform a 12 month service or return to Bedfont for this service.
Every 24 months
Perfom a 24 month service or return to Bedfont for this service.
7.2 System Settings
The Service Engineer section is password protected to prevent accidental alteration of the system
by an untrained user. In the event of forgetting the Service Engineer code please contact your
distributor or Bedfont for assistance.
