MPS500 can operate in two timer modes: DOWN or UP mode. When timer mode is
activated DOWN (see Fig.: 4.3.8 ), the user can set the time of operation of the unit
from 0 … 99 min. Time is preset from the main screen menu
If timer mode is set to UP, the unit will operate continually without time limit period.
Time of operation from the HV turn on is displayed on the main screen than – refer to
section
4.2.1

Timer value in DOWN mode is set in the main menu using the rotary encoder and has
resolution of 10s – see Fig.: 4.3.9

NOTE: The parameter changes via rotary encoder depends on the speed with which
dial is rotated. Slow rotation results in a change of the parameter by 10 s increments,
and the acceleration of the rotation causes a proportional increase in the setting.
