Add a few spoons of lemon juice to prevent color loss during dehydrating.

Evenly spread about 250 gr of puree onto the sheet (baking paper or silicone mat) about 5 mm thick.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE :
1.
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it and wait for the product to be completely cooled
down.
2.
The crumb tray and racks can be washed directly with water, wipe the water traces with a dry cloth,
and do not use detergent or similar detergents to soak. Note that the stainless steels racks are also
dishwasher safe. Long-term dishwasher cleaning may result in premature wear of the parts.
3.
Wipe the inner cavity of the product with a soft dry cloth. Do not use any sharp or abrasive objects to
wipe the inner cavity of the product to protect the inner metal coating.
4.
Before packing and storing the product, make sure that it is completely clean and dry.

The appliance does
not work
Check that the appliance is connected to the electricity network.
Check that the outlet is working correctly by plugging in another appliance.
The appliance does
not heat, but the fan is
working
Check that the temperature has been set and that the selected temperature is
higher than room temperature.
At the end of a drying cycle, the fan will continue to work to cool down the
enclosure to a temperature lower than 45°.
If the appliance does not heat up, contact the customer services.
The fan makes a rub-
bing noise
Make sure that the air inlets are clear.
Food does not dry
Food may be cut too thickly, or peel may have been left on. Follow recommenda-
tions in the drying guide or refer to the recipe.
Too much food on each rack. Remove some foods and dehydrate for a longer
time.
Drying time is not long enough. Relaunch a drying cycle.
Food dries unevenly.
Foods need to be cut uniformly.
Foods with uneven pieces can be rotated during the drying process.
Fruits or vegetables
become soft during
storage.
Too much moisture was left in the food. Dry further to remove excess moisture.
My apples turned
brown while drying. Are
they still edible?
Some fruits oxidize during the drying process. Oxidation occurs when the fruit
comes into contact with air. Quick blanching or adding a natural antioxidant
(lemon) before the drying process can prevent this. Fruits and vegetables that
have undergone enzymatic browning can still be eaten.
My fruit bars are very
thin and brittle. How
can they be made
softer?
Some fresh fruits (like strawberries) contain a lot of water, and the puree may
be too liquid. To obtain a softer paste after drying, you can add a banana to the
puree for a thicker texture. Also pay attention to the thickness of the puree on
the baking sheet: as the edges dry faster, the optimum thickness is 7 mm at the
edges and 5 mm in the center of the baking sheet.
What can be done with
dehydrated vegetables,
other than chips?
Dehydrated vegetables can be blended into a powder. Ground, onions and garlic
are used in the composition of many dishes and sauces. Dried and powdered
tomatoes are great for making sauces, tomato concentrates, ketchup, and even
tomato juice or soups.
