Inspection of Travel Safety Device Brake
Important
If the operator leaves the seat without
applying the parking brake in power-on state,
a buzzer will sound. (intermittent tone)
When the parking brake is applied, the buzzer
will stop.
The safety device is installed under the driver
platform.
Before using the machine, check that the
safety device operates correctly.
Park the machine on a level surface.
Switch on the machine.
Lower the rake.
Open the driver platform.

Release the parking brake.

Set the transmission shift lever to the
"Neutral" position.
Check that the safety device brake wire is
automatically pulled by activation of the
safety device under the driver platform
when the key switch is turned to the "OFF"
position.
Apply the parking brake.
Check that the brake is automatically
released by activation of the safety device
when the key switch is turned to the "ST"
position to switch on the machine.

Key switch at "OFF" position: Brake
wire automatically pulled

Key switch at "ON" position: Brake
automatically released
Slowly turn the key switch back from the
"ST" position to the "ON" position.
Close the driver platform.
Raise the rake.
Release the parking brake.
Push the main vehicle back and forth to
check that the brake is not dragging.
Turn the key switch to the "OFF" position.
Push the main vehicle back and forth to
check that the brake is applied effectively.
Wire
Inspection of Wire
Make sure that the wire is not cracked or
damaged.
If the wire is cracked or damaged, replace it
with a new one immediately.
