Image source
Selection of an image source. The simulation ("Image files") can be used to display and
process stored images.
Trigger mode
Continuous - no external triggering active. The sensor captures image in free-run
mode.
Rising edge - acquires images, if a low->high transition takes place on the input.
Flash source
None - flash is not active
White LEDs - white internal LEDs are used.
Red/infrared LEDs (according to the model) - red / infrared internal LEDs are used.
External lightning - an external flash is used.
External lightning with boost - an external flash is used, and an additional line
(boost) is activated.

Shutter speed of the image sensor in milliseconds (0.01 to 1000 ms)

Gain factor [dB]
Controls the gain as an absolute physical value in dB.
This is an amplification factor that is applied to the image signal. However, this increases the
noise of the image signal.

Specifies the focus distance (distance between sensor front and code to be read) for a
sharp image ( 50 - 600 mm).

By default, the BVS ID uses the full image field when searching for the code to be read. To speed up the
reading process or to make it more robust, the search field can be reduced by using an image area.
NOTE
Trigger signals are discarded as soon as no image can be captured internally.
In this case, a "Trigger Overflow" signal is generated in the product status.


The millimeters displayed here are not exact. Depending on the prevailing
wavelength of the light, this value can deviate, e.g. when using external infrared
lighting. It is recommended to have this setting set automatically using the auto
setup process, or to focus the image by sight. It is not recommended to
determine this value by measuring distances or using CAD data.

