IICDD01 CD-ROM Drive

To install software in the console, an IICDD01 CD-ROM drive is
used. The IIOIS42 console has two hard disk drives. Installing
the software involves loading both disk drives from the
CD-ROM drive using current software release CDs. The SCSI
device name for the CD-ROM is DKA600. Refer to Figure

for CD-ROM switch locations and views of the front and rear of
the unit. Refer to Figure

for a connection guide. Refer to

Table

for an overview of the switch settings required.

Refer to the manufacturer’s installation guide for additional
information.

NOTES:
1.

The console and CD-ROM must be powered off to make

changes.

2.

The CD-ROM drive can operate in a vertical position but is rec-

ommended that it be used in a horizontal position with the eject but-
ton on the right side.
