Figure 10.12 Cable exit from shield

Install the hardened washers and jam nuts on the end of the Weigh Bar and
tighten the nuts finger tight. See Figure 10.13.

Figure 10.13 Hardened washer and jam nut

With help, stand the carriage assembly up on the pallet and move the cable
shields, between the carriage halves, with your fingers until the tab on each
corner of each shield engages in the holes in the back carriage plate.

Step 9 is important to avoid damaging the cable shield and for proper function
of the scale.
