Bus coupler
INTERBUS standard
The INTERBUS bus coupler conforms to the DIN EN 19258
standards for the INTERBUS. Please refer to this standard, the
corresponding literature and the bus master's operating
manual for details.
Bus terminals
The bus coupler is equipped with bus terminal wiring for the
“Rugged Line” fiber optic cable connection from Phoenix Contact.
Local bus
The bus coupler has an additional local bus branch. The first
local bus participant, i.e. the valve controller, is connected to
this branch. The special E24V-/16f-IB input modules and/or the
A24V-/0.5A-IB output modules can also be connected.
Presettings
The data capacity, baud rate as well as the releases of
diagnostic messages can be set using the SMD S1 switch on the
INTERBUS bus coupler.
3.3.2
I/O modules
The input/output modules make it possible, via separable plug
connections, to control electrical input and output signals via
the valve system's bus connection.
A maximum of 12 I/O modules can be used on one valve
system. Observe the load limits!
Input modules
on the bus coupler
The bus coupler supplies a maximum total current of 2 A to
all
the input modules' sensor inputs, which are connected to the
valve system.
Output modules
on the bus coupler
The bus coupler only supplies a maximum total current of 6 A to
those output modules' outputs, which are connected to the bus
coupler, i.e. before the power module.
