Power supply via US1
The following is derived from the US1:
W
L24V logics supply
W
P24V sensor supply (short-circuit proof)
A max. of 2.4 A power consumption on US1:
W
0.4 A for L24V logics supply
W
2.0 A for P24V sensor supply
Power supply via US2
The load supply is derived from the US2:
W
P24VV power supply for the valve driver (short-circuit proof)
W
P24VA power supply for outputs on output modules
connected directly to the bus coupler. For output modules
connected to the power module, their outputs are supplied
with power by the power module.
A max. of 8.3 A power consumption on US2:
W
2.3 A for P24VV valve supply
W
6.0 A for P24VA output supply
Reverse polarity
protection
The L24V, P24V and P24VV supply voltages are protected
against reverse polarization by means of a diode.
Fuse
The P24VA supply voltage for the outputs is protected against
short circuits by a fuse. The US2 LED will start blinking if the
fuse is defect.
NOTICE
Wrong polarization
The US1 and US2 voltages are not electrically isolated from
one another. The GND connection for both voltages is bridged
internally. If either one of the voltages has the wrong
polarization, this can lead to a short circuit and can cause
severe damage to the bus connection.
O
The 24 V power supply must stem from a power supply
unit which is electrically isolated according to
DIN EN 60742, classification VDE 0551.
O
Both US1 and US2 need an external fuse!
