CMS-6000 Media Server
The CMS-6000 Media Server is always configured with two DC power supplies that work in
tandem to provide N+1 redundancy. The supplies are internal to the unit and may not be hot
swapped.
Thermal Dissipation
The thermal dissipation for the CMS-1000 Media Server is less than 427 BTU per hour.
DC Input Requirements
The system has redundant DC inputs. The return lines from the supplies are routed
independently to the power input terminal block.
Grounding Requirements
The CMS-6000 has a a grounding stud on the power input panel to tie into the facility and Rack
ground systems.
Separate Client Registration/Web Portal/Web Conferencing Servers
Separate Web Portal Servers and Web Conferencing Servers are off-the-shelf servers from
IBM, Dell, or HP. The following models are certified by Avaya:

IBM xSeries 336 (1U).
●
Dell Poweredge 1850 (1U).
●
Dell Poweredge 2850 (2U).
●
HP Proliant DL380.
The customer may also provide their own server running Windows 2003 Server, SP2.
The Client Registration Server (used for redundancy) is an off-the-shelf xSeries 336 server from
IBM.

AC System Power Requirements

DC System Power Requirements
DC power is not available for separate servers.
