Warning! Low Amps: Cell?
Problem
Cell may be depleted.
Typical Solution
Check for visual wear on the edges of the terminal blades which may be an indication that the
cell is depleted. Replace if depleted.
Problem
The cell cord may be disconnected or damaged.
Typical Solution
Check the cell cord for tight connections on the cell and on the power supply. Tighten as
needed.
Check the plug for burns. Replace as needed.
Problem
The cell may be heavily scaled.
Typical Solution
Remove and acid wash. See "Servicing the Cell" on page 14.
Problem
Cell Amps are low.
Typical Solution
1. Activate Boost, wait 2 minutes and then enter Test Pool Pilot mode through the menu. Write down the
salt level, water temperature, and cell volts and amps.
l
If the volts are 24-26, then the problem may be caused by low salt, improperly connected,
disconnected or loose cell cord, water less than 65 °F (18.3 °C), a scaled cell, or cell near end of
life. Correct as appropriate.
l
If the volts are less than 20, then contact AquaCal AutoPilot, Inc. for assistance.
2. Installer: If the unit is configured for 230 Vac operation, then verify the input AC voltage is not 115 Vac.
Supply correct voltages or reconfigure the unit as appropriate.
If this is a new installation…
Verify that the incoming voltage matches the voltage of the Digital Nano / Nano+. See
"Specifications" on page 6. See "Electrical Connections" on page 29.
** See additional troubleshooting on this error later in this section.
Warning! Low cell volts
Problem
Cell may be shorted.
Typical Solution
Check cell for calcium scale buildup. Clean as needed.
Problem
Cell cord failure.
Typical Solution
The cell cord may have a short. Replace.
