4 Adjusting the Printing Pressure and Pressure Balance
The best printing results partly depends on the printing pressure and pressure
balance over the full width of the printing medium. These factors must be
adjusted to the optimum conditions by taking the following procedures:
a) Adjust the position of the label width guide in accordance with the width of the
printing paper or label backing, leaving margins of 0.5 mm on either side of the
medium (a total of 1 mm or so).
b) Set the printing width adjusting knob to the center of the paper (label) width.
c) For thick paper (label), adjust the printing pressure by turning the paper thickness
adjustment knob clockwise.
d) If the print line is not parallel nor perpendicular to the printing area, correct
it by turning the head parallelism adjustment screw clockwise.
