11.4. Test lines
Select the
‘Test lines’ tab or go to the ‘Status’
’Test lines’ menu to view snapshots for the configured stations.
The curves represent the last acquisition of the video line for the selected channel. Four curves are available:
line 17, line 18, line 330 and line 331.
The numerical value of the white level and base line distortion are displayed below the graphics.
The line number and the channel number are also displayed.
X axis represents the time, the graduation unit is 4 µs and the total time is 64 µs.
Y axis represents the amplitude value in 8 bits sample, with a maximum of 255 decimal points.
Note: in case of a strong video signal (White level > 110% and sync level > -60%) some bad synchronization
of the counter stage may appear. This causes a bad detection of the number test line, and another line may
appear in the curve window. This case is more frequent with PAL signals which are negative sync pulse
coding.
These parameters are only monitored in the PAL/SECAM version.
