Character input
Use the software keyboard to enter characters. To display
the software keyboard, tap a character input box in the
character entry screen for adding contacts, creating a
message, etc.
The following 3 types of keyboards are equipped for
character entry.
• Samsung Japanese keypad
• Samsung Korean keypad
• SwypeTM

Entering text with Samsung Japanese
keypad
For Samsung Japanese keypad, you can use two types of
keypads: "3x4 key" and "QWERTY".
■ Switching the keypads

Entering text with Swype
TM
You can enter characters by sliding your finger on target
keys in the order you want to enter consecutively without
releasing the finger from the keyboard (at beginning
of the sentence, the top character may be capitalized
automatically).
･ You can also enter characters and symbols by tapping the
keys.
･ Tap or touch and hold on the keypad to change input
language.
･ In the home screen,

keyboard] → [Swype] to set input option.
