Factory Configuration Settings
7.1 System Options Menu
The system Options menu is a critical part of the system hierarchy. From this menu, you can select options to make your
system function differently or not function at all. Here is a list of functions available in the System Options menu:
Change the Model number
Change the Model type
Change the number of inputs
Load new firmware
Set up SNMP protocol
Set up Ethernet communication
Set up serial port communications
Enable/disable access control for 4 ports
The serial and Ethernet software settings are non critical to system functionality. These settings are determined by how you
are communicating to the MPC 128. These settings are discussed in the section
Option 2 of the Main Menu will load the System Options Menu shown in Figure 21.

Configuration Menu
Warning:
The settings under the configuration menu are included in case of a system upgrade or
servicing. Most settings included under the configuration menu are set at the factory and should
never be changed.
Exceptions to this may be:
Adding additional modules
Enabling/disabling LNB power supplies (if equipped)
Loading new firmware
Correcting corrupted settings
System upgrade
Setting up SNMP protocol
Option 1 of the System Options Menu will load the Configuration Menu Pass-code screen shown in Figure 22.
