CHAPTER 6: RS-485

6.5.1 RS-485 Control In Port Termination

The MPC 128 Control In port can be configured for RS-485 communications. If the Control In port is configured for RS-232

communications then the Control In termination should be off. If the Control In port is configured for RS-422 or RS-485

communications and it is the last unit on the bus, then the control termination should be on. If the MPC 128 is not the last

unit on the bus then the control termination should be off. If you are not using RS-485 or RS-422 on the Control In port then

leave this setting off.
