All of the structures up to this point are used for describing the sonar data contained within a sonar data
packet. The actual samples are stored in the same way as the Ping Channel structures. The samples start
immediately after the Ping Channel structures end. The number of samples in each channel is dictated by
the wSamples field for that particular channel. The start of the samples are calculated using the
byChannelCount field in the Ping structure where the offset = byChannelCount *
sizeof(SDS_DATA_SONAR_PING). Below is a diagram showing how data is stored in a SNR2 data packet.

7.1.3.2.1 Channel Operation
The Scout MkII Side Scan Sonar system is capable of up to 4 channel simultaneous operation.
For proper 2 channel operation following these channel assignments:
