Wake On LAN
When the Scout MkII is placed into Sleep with Wake On LAN (WOL) it will not wake up until it receives a
Magic Packet. The magic packet will ONLY work when transmitted on the same sub network as the Scout
MkII. It does not contain an IP Header or Ethernet header. When the Scout MkII is asleep it will not
respond to pings or any other network traffic except for the Magic Packet.
The magic packet is formatted as such:
FF FF FF FF FF FF [Scout MkII MAC Address] * 16
Please note that the Scout MkII's MAC Address is repeated 16 times. For example, if the Scout MkII's MAC
