Chapter 6

CLI Commands

Overview

This VM3200 / VM3250 supports control and operations via RS-232 serial
commands and Telnet commands. This chapter provides procedures for
establishing a telnet or RS-232 serial session and a list of commands.

Connecting to the Matrix Switch via Telnet

To establish a Telnet session with the VM3200 / VM3250, do the following:

1. Open a command-line interpreter program from your computer.

2. In the command-line interpreter, type the VM3200 / VM3250’s IP address

in the following way:

telnet [IP address]:23

3. Press

Enter

. The login screen appears.

4. At the login prompt, type the login username and password for the

VM3200 / VM3250.

Note:

If a user logs in using a username that is already in session, the newest
login takes effect and the previous session will be replaced.
