Installation

6 INSTALLATION

6.1

Recommendations for Unpacking and Stockpiling

The AsGa switches are wrapped individually in cardboard boxes and appropriately

accommodated through internal shims.

The described packing is adapted for the following items:

•

Piling up (as described on the box's external serigraph);

•

Supporting small mechanical shocks;

•

Transport to long distances;

•

Resistant to splashes of water.

In the unpacking of the AsGa switches it is recommended to:

•

Handle the box carefully;

•

In the opening of the adhesive tape use cutting tools with care in order to not hit the

box's content;

•

Keep the packing for the appropriate packing in case of return for maintenance or

updating.

For an appropriate stockpiling:

•

Do not store in an environment with relative humidity above than 80%;

•

Respect the piling up;

•

Stock in the original packing.

6.2

Installation Method of LightBolt

LightBolt switch allows installation in 19” rack and wall mounted

6.2.1 Installation of the 19" Rack

The Figure 6-1 illustrates the installation of the 19" rack by 40U.
