4.4.9 bridge-group instance path-cost

Use this command to set the cost of a path associated with an interface. Use the no

parameter with this command to restore the default cost value of the path.

Command Syntax

bridge-group <1-32> instance INSTANCE_ID path-cost PATH_COST
no bridge-group <1-32> path-cost

<1-32>

Specify the bridge-group number for bridging

PATH_COST <1-200000000>

Specify the cost of path in the range of <1-200000000> (a lower path-

cost indicates a greater likelihood of the specific interface becoming a root)

Assuming a 10 Mb/s link speed, the default value is configured as 200,000.

Use this command to set the port priority for a bridge group. Use the no parameter with this

command to restore the default priority value.

bridge-group <1-32> instance INSTANCE_ID priority PRIORITY
no bridge-group <1-32> instance priority INSTANCE_ID

<1-32>

Specify the bridge-group number for bridging.

INSTANCE_ID

Specify the identifier.

PRIORITY <0-240>

Specify the port priority in a range of <0-240> (a lower priority indicates greater

likelihood of the interface becoming a root).
