4.1.9  bridge-group path-cost 

 

Use this command to set the cost of a path associated with a bridge-group. The lower the 

path cost, the greater the likelihood of the bridge becoming root. 

Command Syntax 

bridge-group path-cost PATHCOST 
no bridge-group path-cost 

 

PATHCOST = <1-200000000> 

The cost to be assigned to the group. 

Default 

The default bridge-group path cost is 0. 

Command Mode

Use this command to set the port priority for a bridge. The lower priority indicates a greater 

likelihood of the bridge becoming root. 

Command Syntax 

bridge-group priority PRIORITY 
PRIORITY = <0-240> 

The priority to be assigned to the group. 

Default 

The default priority is 1. 

Command Mode 

Interface mode.
