Cleaning and Maintenance of Accessories

Clean lenses, glass
filters and lighthouses
with a glass cleaner that
leaves no residue, on a
regular basis. Polish
accessories afterwards
with a soft, lint-free
cloth. While doing so,
check items for dam-
ages. Lenses, filters or
lighthouses with visible
damage or cracks may
cause stray light radia-
tion due to refraction
and thus may affect the
lamphead's perfor-
mance.
In these cases, replace
accessory to achieve
optimum performance.

Clean mechanical
accessories (like e.g.
4-leaf barndoor or
adapters) from dust and
dirt.
¡
If one of the
barndoor leaves
becomes too floppy, its
friction can be adjusted
by tightening the nuts
and bolts on the hinge.
¡
Clean all electric
contacts from dust and
dirt regularly. Oxidised
contacts, contacts with
unusual colour or ther-
mally deformed contacts
must be replaced imme-
diately.
