Handling of Ballasts
Housings of ARRI elec-
tronic ballasts are
equipped with
C-shaped slots (pic-
ture 14). These slots can
be used to install han-
dles (picture 15), the
EB mounting plate (pic-
ture 16) or any other
accessories.
REMOVE/INSTALL
ACCESSORIES

To remove handle ,
loosen the two cap head
screws (Allan screws)
(picture 15).
Installing handle is per-
formed in reverse order.
Finally, tighten the two
cap head screws (Allan
screws).

To use handle as a
stand , first pull it out
completely as shown in
picture 14. Then move it
into desired position and
push it towards housing
until it becomes
engaged (see picture 2
on page 24).

EB mounting plate
with integrated universal
clamp may be installed
either on upper or lower
side of ballast housing.
Slide guides of
EB mounting plate into
C-shaped slots and fas-
ten the two cap head
screws (Allan screws) (see
picture 16).

Additional holes in
EB mounting plate allow
for installing universal
clamp either horizontal
(see picture 16) or verti-
cal (see picture 17).

Caution: Danger of
over-heating!
Check
to ensure that venti-
lation slots of bal-
lasts are not blocked
(see picture 17 for
reference).
