General Instructions

OPERATION

¡

Always switch off

ballast, before any
cables – both on the
mains and on the
lamphead side – are
connected or discon-
nected.

¡

The ballast should

only be used together
with lampheads speci-
fied by ARRI.

¡

The lamphead

should only be used
together with ballasts
specified by ARRI (see
list on page 69).

LAMP

¡

Never touch lamp

with bare fingers.
Because of intense heat,
finger prints will burn in.
Burnt-in finger prints will
reduce the lifetime of a
lamp.

¡

After any transpor-

tation of lamphead,
check that lamp is cor-
rectly installed in its
place.

¡

After use, allow both

lamp and lamphead
enough time to cool
down before moving or
finally packing them.

SAFETY DEVICE

¡

For all suspension

applications the product
and accessories must be
secured against failure
of the stirrup or suspen-
sion device with suitable

safety ropes, wires or
chains.

¡

This safety device

must be of appropriate
dimensions and as short
as possible. Wrap lon-
ger safety devices sev-
eral times in order to
keep them short (see
picture for reference).

¡

Please also secure

accessories whenever
applicable.

MAINTENANCE
WORK

Do not attempt

repairs beyond those
described in these oper-
ating instructions.
All other repairs should
be performed by a
qualified technician or
ARRI Service (see
