SP7 - Scale Installation on a 

Non-Scale Unit

The installation of a scale on a non-scale unit
(KMX

Q

X

Q

) is similar to the scale

replacement procedure, but with some extra
steps for the certification.

Ordering Kits

Prior to installing the scale, the correct kit
must be ordered. The service kit needed
depends on the Maxi Move model and the
user’s location:

Verified Scale (CE Country)

Follow the instructions in the 

Maxi Move

Maintenance and Repair Manual
001.25075.EN 

under chapter 8 “Jib, Scale

and T-bar” for the mechanical installation

procedure for the scale.

Once the scale has been installed:

1)  With the marker supplied in the kit, write 

the serial number of the Maxi Move on 
the scale marking label (in the box next to 
the letters “SN:”, as shown in Fig.13).

Apply the scale marking label on the control
box, above the handset connection (see ,
callout 1). Remove the clear plastic laminate
backing and carefully apply it over the scale
marking label.

2)  Apply the scale handset label on the 

handset (see , callout 2).

3)  Apply the scale logo to the Maxi Move 

top cover (see , callout 3).

4)  Replace the model label with the one 

supplied in the upgrade kit. Note: In kit 
700-25335, two different label models are 
supplied (for KMCSXN and KMCLXN). 
Use the label corresponding to the model 
of the unit being upgraded and discard the

Note: You will need to provide the serial
number of the unit being upgraded
when ordering the required kit.

Note: The main board will automatically
detect the addition of the scale.
However, the DIP switch settings must
be set according to those found in the
Maxi Move Maintenance and Repair
Manual, under service procedure 10.

Maxi Move’s serial
number within the box.

Note: Use ONLY the permanent marker
supplied in the kit to ensure that what is
written down will not be later erased by
the use of cleaning products on the
