Disinfection/Cleaning instructions
Only use ArjoHuntleigh branded disinfectant
cleansers.
If you have any questions regarding disinfecting the
equipment, or wish to order cleaning fluid, contact
ArjoHuntleigh Customer Service.
The following procedure should be carried out after
every use and at the end of the day.
WARNING
Always use protective gloves and
protective glasses when handling
concentrated cleaning agents.
Avoid getting the cleaning agent on
your skin or in your eyes. If this does
occur, rinse thoroughly with plenty
of water. Seek medical attention if
irritation occurs. Always read the
material safety data sheet for the
disinfectant cleanser.
Do not use phenol, citric acid or
petroleum-based solvents, trichlo-
roethylene, chlorine and hydrogen
peroxide or similar cleaning agents as
these may damage the plastic mate-
rial.
Steam, ethylene oxide sterilization or
high pressure wash can not be used
either.
WARNING
After each resident
1 Remove the seat insert, the two seat parts (only
CDB6000 model), the back rest and safety straps
(if applicable) and place them at the bottom of the
tub. Move Calypso in over the bath tub and lower
it.
2 Most ArjoHuntleigh baths are equipped with a
disinfectant spray handle, read respective instruc-
tions on how to adjust and use it. Spray Calypso
with disinfectant from the disinfection spray han-
dle.
If a disinfectant spray bottle is used, mix accord-
ing to the instruction on the label of the disinfect-
ant bottle, may.
3 Scrub the chair and the loosen parts with a cloth
or disposable towel. Be sure the underside of
Calypso has been cleaned and disinfected.
4 Allow an appropriate contact time for sanitation
or disinfection according to the instructions of the
disinfectant cleaner bottle.
5 Rinse with cold water.
6 Dry Calypso parts with a clean towel and reas-
semble.
Cleaning of Safety Straps
The safety straps should be washed with soap and a
water temperature of 60- 80°C (140-176°F).
