Intended Use
Maxi Sky 2 Transportable receiving module is
a receiving module which enables relocation of
a Maxi Sky 2 ceiling lift from a Kwiktrak to
another Kwiktrak without having to remove the
track end stopper and without the need of
using tools.
It shall be used by appropriately trained
employees with the physical ability to carry a
12 kg load in a step ladder, adequate
knowledge of the care environment, its
common practices and procedures, and in
accordance with the guidelines in the
Instruction for Use. This relocation functionality
does not affect the intended use of neither the
Maxi Sky 2 nor Kwiktrak.
Patient/resident lifting and/or transferring must
be done by a trained caregiver with adequate
knowledge of the care environment, its
common practices and procedures, and in
accordance with the guidelines in the
Maxi Sky
2 Instructions for Use.
Maxi Sky 2 Transportable receiving module
should only be used for the purpose specified
in the Installation Manual. Any other use is
prohibited.
Expected Service Life
The expected service life of Maxi Sky 2
Transportable is the maximum period of useful
life.
The
Maxi Sky 2 Transportable receiving
module has been designed and tested to a
useful life of 10 years or 20,000 lifting cycles
with a load of 600 lb/272 kg whichever comes
first, when subjected to preventive
maintenance as specified in the "Care and
Maintenance" section in the Installation
Manual. One lifting cycle is defined as
transferring a 600 lb/272 kg load, which
includes a 60 cm (24") raising action, a lateral
displacement and a 60 cm (24") descending
action.
The
Maxi Sky
2 Transportable receiving
module has been designed and tested to a
useful life of 10 years or 3650 relocations,
whichever comes first, when subjected to
preventive maintenance as specified in the
"Care and Maintenance" section in the
Installation Manual. One relocation being
defined as taking the motor unit from one
Kwiktrak and bring it to another Kwiktrak.
WARNING:To avoid bodily injuries, only use
the Maxi Sky 2 receiving module with Maxi
Sky 2 ceiling lifts which have gone through
the conversion process. Any other
combination is prohibited.
