NOTE:

The actuator position is the electronic step count position that is kept track on the Roll-2-Roll

®

Driver.

Hence this is an open loop position when a stepper motor driver is used. If a servo drive is used, this could
be the closed loop position.

WARNING:

The actuator position bar should exhibit smooth real-time motion while the web guide is in

operation. If the motion of the bar is choppy or intermittent, this indicates some communication issues
between the SCU5 controller and Roll-2-Roll

®

Driver.

WARNING:

If the actuator connected to the SCU5 moves but the actuator position bar does not indicate

any movement (either completely black or red), this might be due to corrupted electronic position of the
actuator in the memory. This is not normal and should be addressed immediately.
