Explanation of Daisy Chain Network
A daisy chain network consists of a group of display
units connected together in series by RS485 cables.
A Network Master can be connected at any
point in the daisy chain, such as in illustrations
or the example
daisy chains such as in illustrations
and
.
The first display unit of a daisy chain should be
considered the beginning of the network. It has only
one RS485 cable going out. The Network Master
should be considered the end of the daisy chain.
It has one RS485 cable coming in from one daisy
chain, although it could have two (2) RS485 cables
coming in if it is in the middle of the daisy chain.
All display units between the beginning and end of
a daisy chain have two (2) RS485 cables, one cable
coming into the box and the other going out to the
next display unit in the chain.
