Chapter 7 Service Information

7.2 Maintenance

User maintenance is limited to the following:

•

Cleaning connectors

•

Cleaning Network Master case

Warning

Do NOT attempt to service the Network Master yourself.
Request servicing by authorized Anritsu personnel only.

7.2.1 Cleaning Optical Connectors

Refer to the cleaning instructions in section 1.4.4.

7.2.2 Cleaning Network Master

If necessary, follow these steps to clean the unit case:

•

Unplug the power cord from the top panel before cleaning.

•

Clean the unit with a soft cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl

alcohol.

•

Do NOT clean the RJ-45 connector, and electric connector between the

module and main frame with any solvents. Use dry compressed air to
blow out any dust.

Caution

Do NOT use chemically active or abrasive materials to
clean the instrument.

7.2.3 User

Calibration

The Network Master does not need calibration.

7.2.4 Repacking for Shipment

Keep the original packing for future use. Use the original packing when
returning the Network Master to Anritsu for servicing. Contact Anritsu
for instructions on returning the instrument.
