Testing the MAX Setup
Overview
Now you've setup the HT-04 server, switches, added the AVPs and AOM to the server, specified IP
settings for the HT-04, established physical connections between the devices and established a MAX
system.
The only thing left to do is test the system by connecting an A/V device to one of the MAX-AVPs, and
an Audio device to the MAX-AOM to test their output.
Testing the MAX-AVP
Each MAX server ships with one movie and one audio CD pre-loaded for this purpose.
Use the audio and video cables included with the MAX-AVP to connect to any A/V device.
In our example, we'll just use the test monitor that we used to access the MAX Admin Menu, since it also
happens to have Component Video inputs and analog stereo audio inputs.

Power-up the MAX-AVP and allow a minute or so for the unit to initialize.
Once the LED on the AVP's Ethernet port lights up, it should be ready to use. The MAX-AVP
startup screen is displayed, with the on-screen message "No Disc Present" (FIG. 68).

Unpack the IR remote controller and install the batteries (FIG. 69).
