Power connection
If the factory-supplied flexible power cord is not long enough or is not
compliant with local standards, a 3-meter European-type harmonized
power cord is also included.
Ensure that the area is safe and replace the power cord as follows:
1. Disconnect the power from the analyzer and remove the rear panel
terminal cover.
2. Unplug the power connector (Figure 3-7) and unscrew the two plug
screws that hold the “1” (LINE) and “2” (NEUTRAL) wires in place.
3. Remove the ground wire from the threaded chassis stud (Figure 3-8).
4. Loosen and remove the power cord strain relief cap with compression
bushing (1) (Figure 3-2) and pull out the power cord.
5. Prepare the new power cord using the original cord as a guide:
- remove outer jacket,
- measure length of wires,
- strip lengths of wires,
- ring connector termination, etc.
6. Feed the strain relief cap with compression bushing onto the new
cord and tighten securely as per original. If the new cord is a smaller
diameter than the original, consider using the alternate bushing that
is included with the European cord. Ensure that the power cord does
not slip when pulled or pushed from the outside.
