SPOT Actuator
3.1 Power Requirements
CAUTION
When first connected to the power supply, the Actuator will move to
check the full range of movement.
The Actuator can be powered by 18 to 36 V DC or Power over Ethernet
(POE+). In each case, a single cable can be used to power and control the
actuator.
For DC power, the analogue cable is required, and the Ethernet cable is
required for power over Ethernet.
If both cables are available, the Actuator can be powered one way and
controlled the other. Both sources of power can be connected at once.
The Actuator and SPOT require a power supply rated to at last 30 W.
3.2 EMC Requirements
The Actuator must not be installed in a residential location.
Ideally, the Actuator body should be grounded via its mountings.
If using the 100 m cable, the screen must be grounded at each end and, if
necessary, equipotential bonding must be used to avoid screen currents.
