Platform and Ramp Setup OVER
30”
with Angle Support Brackets
When installing platforms or ramps OVER
30”
in height, it is recommended that you stabilize the system with angle
support brackets (ASB).
There are 2 styles of bracket.
•
Platform Angle is
1.5”
w x 1.5 w
”
•
Ramp Angle is
1”
w x
2”
w
with holes on each end
For Platforms:
Use the
1.5”
x
1.5”
angle and secure it to the side of the platform and to the tube leg using the #8
TEK screw provided.
For Ramps:
Use use the
1”
x
2”
angle which has a hole on each end.
You secure the bracket by placing the
1”
side
“
UNDER
”
the slotted stringer so that the hole lines up with the bot-
tom hardware slot on the stringer. You then secure the bracket on the ramp with the
1”
x
3/8”
carriage bolt and
flange nut provided. The other end will attach to the ULEG by using the same bolt in the slot on the leg and the
flange nut. Make sure the
2”
side of the angle is on the
“
BACK
”
side of the leg. (the flat part of the ULEG) IF the
leg does NOT have a slot at this height, then drill a
3/8”
hole in the center of the leg to attach the bolt for support.
Install Note
:
Be sure to add the hardware to the stringer
BEFORE
attaching legs or handrails. Platforms require
(4) ASB and (2) for ramps exceeding
30”
in height. ASB is an accessory and must be ordered as such.
