5.13.2 Exact following harrow pressure
The exact following harrow pressure must be adjusted depending on the soil. To achieve uniform cov-
erage of the seed row with soil, the exact following harrow pressure must be set higher on heavy soil
than on light soil.
With the hydraulically actuated exact following harrow pressure adjustment, the exact following harrow
pressure can be pre-adjusted. The exact following harrow pressure can be pre-adjusted e.g. for seed-
ing on normal soil and for seeding on heavy soil. During operation, the exact following harrow pressure
can be adapted to the soil when changing from normal soil to heavy soil.
The exact following harrow pressure is generat-
ed by tension springs that are pre-tensioned
using a lever (Fig. 66/1).

The lever actuates a stop (Fig. 67/1) in the ad-
juster segment. The stop rests against the linch
pin (Fig. 67/2). The higher the linch pin is insert-
ed in the group of holes, the greater the exact
following harrow pressure.

Adjust the exact following harrow pressure so
that all seed rows are evenly covered with earth.
As an option, the exact following harrow pressure can be adapted to the soil during operation when
changing from normal soil to heavy soil and vice versa.
The second linch pin (Fig. 67/3) in the adjuster segment marks the increased exact following harrow
pressure. When the tractor control unit (blue) is actuated, pressure is applied to the hydraulic cylinder
(Fig. 67/4), the exact following harrow pressure increases and the stop is resting on the top linch pin.
When the tractor control unit (blue) is in floating position, the lever rests on the lower pin.
With a control unit, the coulter pressure and the exact following harrow pressure can be adjusted
simultaneously. As an option, more seed is then also automatically spread (see section "Automatic
seed rate increase", page 66).
